Compare mortgagesWhen we checked in September 2023, there were 259 mortgages available from Accord. Most were fixed-rate deals, meaning your interest rate stays the same for a set initial period.
Accord mortgages had initial periods of two, three, five or 10 years.
A smaller number of mortgages offered by Accord were tracker deals, with initial terms lasting two years before reverting to Accord's standard variable rate.
Which? analysed thousands of mortgages over a four-week period in August 2023. We compiled a series of Top 10 Cheapest Deals tables, based on a variety of borrowing scenarios, and counted how many times each lender featured in a table.
The average was five table appearances per week. Accord only featured an average of three times each week, meaning it rarely offered competitive deals. (Data source: Moneyfacts.)
Accord will lend to first-time buyers and home movers at 75%, 80%, 85%, 90% and 95% loan-to-value (LTV).
Remortgagers can also take out deals at 65% LTV, and at 100% LTV and even 120% LTV for those in negative equity.
You can borrow anywhere from 4.49 to 5.5 times your annual household income, depending on the mortgage deal itself and your financial situation.
All of Accord's mortgages allow customers to pay back the loan over a maximum of 40 years.
Accord's deals allow you to overpay up to 10% of the mortgage balance each year before an early repayment charge (ERC) is triggered.
Accord only lends through brokers. Customers who are new to Accord should therefore contact a mortgage broker.
