Our latest survey reveals what customers think of their B&Q bathrooms, and whether the brand offers quality products and value for money

In June 2023, we surveyed 6,833 people about their bathrooms to reveal how B&Q bathrooms compare with rival brands such as Homebase, Victoria Plum and Wickes.

We awarded overall scores and star ratings according to how customers rated B&Q as a bathroom retailer. The survey also asked them about B&Q bathroom products in general, and about individual fixtures and fittings including baths, shower enclosures, sinks and cabinets.

Is B&Q a good bathroom retailer?

We asked people about their experience with B&Q as a bathroom retailer. 

The retailer that came top in our survey got 83%, but the company at the bottom of the table got 67%.

Finally, we asked respondents how they rated individual fixtures and fittings such as shower enclosures, sinks, taps and toilets from B&Q.

Several brands were rated the full five stars for both the quality and durability of their shower enclosures and sinks.

B&Q bathroom suites, stores and services 

B&Q has more than 300 stores nationwide. You can use its online 'Find a store' tool to locate your nearest branch and check which services it offers.

It sells a range of modern and traditional bathroom suites. Many of its sinks, toilets and baths are from its own GoodHome and Cooke & Lewis brands. It also stocks a range of other brands, such as Ideal Standard and Vitra. 

You can choose from a wide range of bathroom furniture, from fitted vanity units to standalone storage. B&Q's range of taps includes big brands such as Bristan and Grohe, as well as its own GoodHome models.

B&Q stocks a range of mixer, electric and power showers from a number of brands, including Aqualisa, Mira and Triton. It also sells shower enclosures and components for wet rooms.

The company also offers an end-to-end bathrooms service, which includes installation and starts with a free in-store or online planning appointment. B&Q says it partners with approved and vetted local installers to carry out your project.
