The Logico L scores an average three stars for front-crash protection, but when we carried out a side crash test with the back fitted, it exposed the child to a risk of serious injury and scored just two stars.

It was even worse with the back removed, offering virtually no side-impact protection at all. The side-impact protection is so poor overall that we recommend you don't buy this seat.

The Graco Logico L is a cheap basic forward-facing child car seat that's approved for use with children between 15kg and 36kg (around three or four to 12 years old). It can be used as a high-back booster or a backless booster cushion. The overall safety score is made up of the results of crash testing (front crash; side crash) seat design, stability in the car and belt routing. Our crash tests go beyond the legal minimum requirements for UK car seat regulations and are conducted at higher speeds and forces than the regulations require. We feel our tests more accurately reflect what could happen in a real life crash.
