But in our own tests, which are conducted at higher speeds and forces than the standard requires, this seat scores poorly for frontal-impact results when used in Group 1 mode. The Nania BeLine SP Luxe car seat is a budget-friendly multi-group child car seat that's widely available. It's suitable for use with children weighing up to 36kg (about 12 years old). You'd swap to using this car seat once your little one has outgrown the baby car seat (around 12-15 months old). It's lightweight, so could be a tempting choice if you swap seats between cars regularly, but we've made it a Don't Buy for several reasons. The overall safety score is made up of the results of crash testing (front crash; side crash) seat design, stability in the car and belt routing. Our crash tests go beyond the legal minimum requirements for UK car seat regulations and are conducted at higher speeds and forces than the regulations require. We feel our tests more accurately reflect what could happen in a real life crash.
