Best Dyson vacuum cleaner deals for April 2024
Our pick: Dyson V12 Detect Slim Absolute
The V12 comes with several eye-catching features such as the laser beam on the illuminated cleaner head, and the digital screen that counts and displays the number of particles the vacuum sucks up as it cleans. It also displays the three power modes (auto, eco and boost) and battery life, and sends maintenance alerts.
It comes with an abundance of accessories, including a hair tool for picking up animal fur and long hair, a crevice tool for cleaning narrow gaps and other nooks and crannies, a wand clip, a low reach adapter, a combination tool and a charging station.
If you’re not a fan of the trigger button, you’ll be glad to hear this model comes with single-button power control, so you shouldn’t get sore fingers when using it, and you can switch it on and off as many times as you like.

Buy it now for £498 from Donaghy Bros or compare prices with other retailer:
Dyson Cyclone V10 Absolute
- Cordless/bagless
- 0.8 litres dust capacity
- Weighs 2.6kg
We like: Very easy to use
We don't like: Short battery life on turbo mode
This Dyson has an on-trend copper tube and a distinctly different look to older Dyson vacuums such as the V8. Its motor is smaller and lighter than previous models, and Dyson says it's more powerful.
Other features worth pointing out include a totally redesigned dust container. The dust container and cyclones have been rotated 90 degrees, so that everything sits in a straight line.
You'll get three power settings to choose from on the V10, compared to two on the V8, and two floorheads - a turbo combi for use on all floors, and a soft roller for hard floors. For handheld cleaning, there's a mini-turbo tool, soft dusting brush, crevice tool, two-in-one upholstery tool and dusting brush.

How to spot a good deal on a Dyson vacuum cleaner?
Manca Virant, Which? vacuum cleaners expert says:
You could pay hundreds of pounds over the odds if you buy a Dyson vacuum at the wrong time or from the wrong place.
Stick to these five golden rules to get the best value:
1. Decide what accessories you need and what you can live without
Models in the same range (eg the V15 Detect range or the V11 range) usually have the same core machine – the only difference is the accessories and supplied floor heads.
The entry-level model typically costs about £100 less than the premium model, so you could save money if you're prepared to sacrifice some accessories.
It's also worth remembering that having multiple accessories can be more of a hindrance than a help, especially when storing them, which is another reason not to splash out on a model with expensive extras unless you're sure you need them.
Check our Dyson vacuum reviews to see which models get the basics right, then look out for the specific accessories you're keen on.
2. Watch out for older models costing more than new ones
You would expect the prices of older vacuums to go down rather than up, but we've found that some Dysons end up being sold for a price that well exceeds the original amount – even several years after they were launched.
It's always worth checking whether you could get a more recent model for the same price.
3. Check out the latest price data
Compare prices across retailers with sites such as PriceRunner and PriceSpy, and see historical price data. It's worth doing an online search, too, as some retailers' price feeds aren't picked up by these sites.
The data might reveal whether there's an ideal time of year to buy your preferred Dyson, or whether it's currently a peak period when prices tend to be at their highest.
4. Shop around
There are some brilliant Dyson vacuums out there, but we've also found worthy alternatives from other brands, including much cheaper options.
See our shortlist of the best cordless vacuums to find one that's great value for money.
5. Recycle your old vacuum for free
The retailer you buy your new vacuum cleaner from might offer to collect and recycle your old model. Although it's convenient, you usually have to pay for this service. Read our guide on how to recycle electrical items to find out your options.
Is the price you've seen actually a good deal?
Whether it's Amazon Prime Day, Black Friday or a bank holiday sale, here are the prices you should look out for if you're scouring the sales.
Based on historical pricing data, we think these prices represent genuinely good savings on some of Dyson's most popular cordless models:
- Dyson V15 Detect Absolute Anything less than £550 (£499 for the Animal model)
- Dyson Outsize Absolute Anything less than £699
- Dyson V11 Absolute Anything less than £599 (£499 for the Animal model)
- Dyson Cyclone V10 Absolute Anything less than £399 (£349 for the Animal model)
- Dyson V8 Animal Anything less than £329
- Dyson V7 Animal Anything less than £249
We've noticed that Dyson prices can rise in the months before big sales events such as Black Friday, creating the illusion of huge savings on the day.
