Safestyle double glazing review

We've surveyed Safestyle's double glazing customers to find out how its products and services compare with Anglian and Everest, as well as independents.

We've surveyed more than 3,000 double glazing customers to find out whether big brands Safestyle, Everest and Anglian are worth spending your money on, especially when pitted against smaller brands and independents.

Safestyle has been manufacturing and installing windows and doors for more than 25 years, and it says it has completed more than one million installations.

Despite this, though, just over a quarter of customers in our survey said they chose the firm because it had a good reputation – notably less than its two rivals Anglian and Everest.

The two most common reasons customers told us they chose Safestyle were that it offered a discount, or had particular windows or doors they liked. Our independent research reveals whether customers felt their decision paid off.

Safestyle double glazing ratings

The table below shows a full breakdown of how Safestyle was rated across 15 important criteria when buying double glazing and having it fitted.

We asked customers to rate factors such as sales, purchase, installation, after-sales and how well the product has lasted. These include how helpful and knowledgeable the installers were, the range of products available to choose from and value for money.

Our research showed that half of those who responded to our survey chose a local or independent double glazing firm or trader. So besides rating seven of the biggest nationwide and regional firms, we’ve created a dedicated advice guide for buying from an independent double glazing company
