Discover how much Triton showers cost, what's unique about them, and what Which? members think of the brand in terms of quality, service and value for money.

Triton has been making showers for nearly 50 years. The brand tends to dominate the entry-level, budget segment of the market, but the company also produces a number of mid-level and premium showers.

Not only have we tested the biggest-selling digital, mixer, power and electric showers from Triton, we asked hundreds of Which? members who have bought a shower from the brand how they rate it.

Triton electric showers

Electric showers differ from traditional mixer showers as they have their own heating element. They connect to your cold-water supply and heat the water as they run so you don’t have to wait ages for a water tank to heat up, and you can use them even if your boiler's on the blink.

Triton offers an extensive selection of electric showers, including its stylish Amore range with touch-sensitive controls, and the easy-to-install T80 range. Prices start from £70, rising to £580 for the more hi-tech models.

If you live in an area with low water pressure, Triton produces electric showers with their own pumps, helping to boost the water flow. There are also thermostatic models that regulate the temperature, reducing the impact should anyone else use the water supply at the same time.

Triton makes multiple versions of each model, which differ according to how powerful they are. In general, the higher the wattage, the more water it can heat and push through the shower head in one go. Triton electric showers range from 7.5kW to 10.5kW – you’ll get more hot water to wash away the soap suds from a 10.5kW shower, compared with a 7.5kW one.

Triton power showers

Power showers have an integrated pump to boost flow rate, and are more powerful than electric showers. They draw from both hot and cold water supplies, which are mixed within the unit, and are only suitable for low-pressure systems.

Most shower brands have a comparatively small range of power showers, and Triton is no different. At the time of writing, their site only offers the thermostatic AS2000SR, costing £249.99.

Triton mixer showers

Mixer showers draw from both hot and cold water supplies, which are readily available via a combi boiler or large-capacity hot-water cylinder. The water is then mixed within the valve.

All Triton's mixer showers are thermostatic, although they have different control options. Prices vary tremendously, ranging from around £90 to around £400. Models in its Exe series are typically the cheapest, while you pay more for the Elina range.

Triton digital showers

Digital showers work in a similar way to mixer showers, but their digital controls make it easier to set the temperature you want.

Triton’s HOST range has wireless connectivity, so you can turn on the shower before you even get out of bed. Showers in this range also have a full colour digital display which is easy to read, and let you store your favourite shower settings.
