The overall Which? test score is made up of the following star ratings, all determined by our rigorous lab tests.
How we test oven
How quickly the main oven heats up, how accurate it is at hitting the set temperatures, how well it maintains the temperatures and how well it distributes heat around the oven.
How we test grill
How good the grill is at browning food effectively and evenly. More than 80% of the grill area browns effectively on an excellent grill, and less than 40% on a very poor grill.
How we test hob performance
How quickly and efficiently the hob heats up and its effectiveness at simmering.
How we test energy efficiency
This rating shows how energy efficient this model is compared to other cookers we've tested. The higher the rating, the more efficient the cooker is.The energy test was introduced in 2012, cookers tested before 2012 will not have a score for energy use.
How we test ease of use
How easy it is to use the core functions of the cooker, including the grill, oven and hob; opening and closing the doors; loading and unloading from the oven and grill; visibility of the food in the oven and clarity of the control markings.
How we test ease of cleaning
How easy it is clean the hob, grill and oven using a sponge and hot soapy water; the success of this cleaning approach and the amount of effort required to get the cooker properly clean.
