What network does Asda Mobile use?

Asda Mobile is a virtual provider, which means it uses another provider's infrastructure – in this case, the Vodafone network. It offers 4G and 5G coverage, as Vodafone has turned off its 3G network.

How good is Asda's mobile coverage?

With Asda Mobile's use of the Vodafone network, it claims that it has up to 99% population coverage.

Asda Mobile's deals and incentives

Asda Mobile offers a variety of Sim-only deals, ranging from £5 for unlimited minutes and texts with 3GB data, to £24 for unlimited minutes, texts and data. There's also a Talk and Text bundle for £4, if you need no data at all.

It also has three unlimited plans that have speed restrictions of 2Mb, 10Mb and 150Mb.

Asda's data rollover perk means you won't waste data that you don't use, and will have it available in future months. 

All of Asda's plans come with 5GB of free EU roaming.

Does Asda Mobile increase its prices each year?

Asda doesn't use inflation-based mid-contract price rises, but it also doesn't commit to not increasing prices. This means customers may arbitrarily face price rises. 

For Asda's rolling 30-day Sim-only contracts, customers can avoid any increases Asda decides on. Before the end of the month, you will be able to check what the price to renew is. If it does increase or is too expensive, you can simply switch to a different network with no penalty.

Asda Mobile Sim cards and PAYG handsets are available from many Asda supermarkets, but there are only a handful of dedicated Asda Mobile stores where you can get help if you need it.
