Like so many of its crossover rivals, the second-generation Honda HR-V (2015-2020) is based on the underpinnings of a small hatchback – in this case the Honda Jazz. Sitting below the larger CR-V, this compact SUV model is available with either 1.6-litre diesel or 1.5-litre petrol engines and the choice of six-speed manual or CVT automatic transmissions. However, it forgoes four-wheel drive in the name of greater efficiency. Find out it compares with its numerous rivals in our Honda CR-V review.
