One of the largest 4x4s in production, the Mercedes-Benz GL-class, launched in 2013 and renamed GLS in 2016, is certainly roomy. It's not a hardcore off-roader in the vein of the military-issue G-class, but like the shorter-wheelbase ML (with which it shares its underpinnings), it's more of a high-riding, road-going, luxury carry-all.
