UnbrandedCO & smoke alarm

We bought this alarm from Wish and in our tests it failed to sound in eight separate smoke detection tests. We’ve made it a Don’t Buy to warn you about the danger of having an alarm like this one in your home. In our tests it wasn’t simply a matter of this alarm sounding a little later than most - it simply didn’t detect smoke. Along with a handful of other incredibly dangerous smoke alarms we’ve tested recently, this model is one of the most worrying products we’ve seen on sale in the UK. It claims to also be able to detect carbon monoxide (CO), but predictably this dangerous alarm was just as bad at detecting CO in our tests as it was at detecting smoke.
