What network does iD Mobile use?

iD Mobile is a virtual provider, which means it uses another provider's infrastructure – in this case, the Three network. It offers 4G and 5G coverage.

How good is iD's mobile coverage?

You can check coverage where you live by using a mobile network coverage checker. Simply enter your postcode into the map and it will tell you how good Three's signal is in your area, as well as comparing it with the other providers.

iD Mobile's deals and incentives

iD Mobile offers a range of pay-monthly and pay-as-you-go (PAYG) deals to its customers.

Sim-only plans are available for 30 days, and 12 and 24 months, and include a range of pricing options. Choosing a pay-monthly plan allows you to select whether you want a supplied handset or prefer a Sim-only option.

Does iD Mobile increase its prices each year?

iD Mobile's Sim-only contracts are not hit by costly inflation-based mid-contract price increases. Before the end of the month, you will be able to check what the price to renew is. If it does increase or is too expensive, you can simply switch to a different network with no penalty.

For 24-month handset contracts, iD Mobile increases its prices each year using the Consumer Price Index (CPI) rate of inflation, plus 3.9%. It uses the December CPI rate published in January.

For December 2023, the CPI rate was 4%. This means that customers with a two-year handset contract will see a price increase of 7.9%.

iD Mobile stores

iD Mobile doesn't have its own stores – iD Mobile is Currys' phone network, so its products and services are available from Currys stores or from the iD Mobile website. Currys has a large presence in the UK, so it's fairly easy to track down nearby help and advice.

You can find your nearest branch using the Currys store finder, or you can access live chat services.
