What network does Sky Mobile use?

Sky Mobile is a virtual provider, which means it uses another provider's infrastructure – in this case, the O2 network. It offers 3G, 4G and, more recently, 5G coverage.

How good is Sky's mobile coverage?

To check coverage where you live, use a mobile network coverage checker. Enter your postcode into the map and it will tell you how good Sky Mobile's parent network O2's signal is in your area and compare it with the other providers.

Sky Mobile deals and incentives

Sky Mobile offers various data allowances starting at £10 for 5GB up to £30 for 250GB, and all plans come with unlimited calls and texts.

Sky also sells bundled phone contracts, which allow you to swap your phone any time after 31 days.

Customers also get unlimited streaming on Sky apps and data rollover with any Sim-only or contract deal.

Does Sky Mobile increase its prices each year?

In the past, Sky Mobile claimed not to increase prices mid-contract, and it still avoids using the inflation-based price increases favoured by other providers, such as the Big Four (EE, O2, Three, Vodafone). It did increase prices for some contracts this year, so consider this before committing to a lengthy phone contract.

Sky Mobile also offers rolling 30 day Sim-only contracts, where customers aren't hit by costly price increases. Before the end of the month, you will be able to check what the price to renew is. If it does increase or is too expensive, you can switch to a different network with no penalty.
