The Firehawk FHH10W is a battery-powered heat alarm designed to detect rapid rises in temperature, rather than smoke in the air. This makes it a good choice for kitchens and garages where smoke from cooking or fumes from vehicles could trigger false alerts with a traditional smoke alarm. It’s a linkable alarm that can be wirelessly paired with the Firehawk FHB10W smoke alarm or the CO7B-10Y-W carbon monoxide detector. This means that if any of the alarms senses danger they will all sound together, making it suitable for homes in Scotland. Its sealed lithium battery is designed to work for 10 years, the expected lifetime of the device. But how well does it detect heat rises? We sent it to our test lab to find out. Read on for our full review of this Firehawk heat alarm.
