What TV and broadband deals does EE offer?

EE used to offer its own branded pay-TV service, but it replaced this with Apple TV 4K in 2019. In late 2023 it changed its service again, replicating what was previously offered by its parent company, BT, and renaming this EE TV. You are now able to add different combinations of channels each month, based around Now TV services.

It works via an Apple TV box which offers content via apps – it gives you access to BBC iPlayer, ITV Hub and YouTube, for example, plus paid services such as Amazon Prime Video and Netflix (although, you’ll need additional subscriptions for these). EE throws in free access to Apple TV+ for the first six months.

On top of this, you can choose between five packages – Entertainment, Big Entertainment, Sport, Big Sport and Full Works (formerly called VIP). All include Freeview, plus a combination of premium channels. While EE’s standard TV and broadband contracts last 24 months, you can change which package you have every 30 days until the last three months of your contract.

As the name suggests, Entertainment and Big Entertainment are focused on premium entertainment and include channels such as Gold, Sky Atlantic and Syfy. In addition, Big Entertainment includes the Sky Cinema channels, plus films on-demand.

Meanwhile, Sport includes all four TNT Sports channels, including 52 Premier League matches and all of the UEFA Champions League series. Big Sport has the same, plus 12 Sky Sports channels.

And if you fancy all of the above, you can opt for Full Works – a combination of the Big Sport and Big Entertainment packages. It’s also possible to opt for more than one package, so you can choose to combine Entertainment and Sport separately if you prefer.

In terms of broadband service, EE only offers its TV service to customers with at least a superfast fibre connection – average speeds on offer are between 35Mbps and 66Mbps, depending on the package you take.

But around two thirds of UK properties can also access faster connections, with average speeds of 149Mbps, 308Mbps, 500Mbps, 900Mbps or 1600Mbps (1.6Gbps) depending on the package.

Does EE put up TV and broadband prices every year?

Yes – if you decide to sign up to an EE deal, keep in mind that it now increases its prices every year. EE applies its price increase to both the cost of broadband and add-ons, so the amount you pay for your TV service will also increase.

Each spring, the amount you pay will go up by the Consumer Price Index (CPI) rate of inflation as published in January, plus an additional 3.9%, leading to an increase of 7.9% in 2024.

What equipment comes with EE TV and broadband?

As part of the package, you'll receive an Apple TV 4K set-top box. As the name suggests, this is Apple’s first Ultra-HD internet TV box and it received a positive review when we reviewed it in our test lab.
