Sony’s mid-range LCD TVs haven’t always been hits with us. It’s a similar story with other brands as well, though. We expect high-end TVs do well, and cheaper models that shine earn our Great Value badge, which leaves the mid-range languishing. Sony has the knowhow to create a stunning TV, though, and with its full-array backlight the contrast could be fantastic on the 65-inch KD-54X85L. Read our review to see how it did in our tests.
