Plusnet broadband deals

Plusnet no longer advertises standard broadband on its website, but still offers it along with fibre broadband deals. Average speeds between 10Mbps and 900Mbps are available, depending on where you live. Most if its fibre deals don't include line rental and come with a 24-month contract.

Plusnet doesn't have any usage limits on its packages, although it does manage traffic, prioritising certain content in busy periods.

It usually offers competitively priced broadband but keep in mind that every March, Plusnet increases the price of all its deals by the Consumer Price Index (CPI) rate of inflation, as published in January, plus an additional 3.9%.

Plusnet broadband speeds

Standard broadband packages have an average speed of 10Mbps and fibre-optic cable is available with average speeds of 36-66Mbps, depending on where you live.

In some areas, Plusnet also offers speedier ultrafast packages – these have average speeds of either 145Mbps, 300Mbps, 500Mbps or 900Mbps.

Does Plusnet put up broadband prices every year?

Yes – if you do decide to sign up to a Plusnet broadband deal, keep in mind that it now increases its prices every year. Each spring, they'll go up by the Consumer Price Index (CPI) rate of inflation as published in January, plus an additional 3.9%. This means many customers will see their price increase by 7.9% this spring.

What is the latest Plusnet router?

Plusnet supplies its Hub Two router free with fibre packages. Our lab tests revealed this router is simple to set up, delivers healthy speeds and powers multiple devices, but isn't compatible with Wi-Fi 6 technology. Find out more in our Plusnet Hub Two router review.

Standard broadband packages come with the more basic Hub One router, which offers a reasonable level of security, but you shouldn't expect very fast transfer speeds.
