What’s Saga like?

Saga proves you don’t have to pay a fortune for an enjoyable cruise experience, with almost everything thrown in. Transfers within a 250-mile radius of the departure port are included in the price (along with drinks, dining, tips, wi-fi and travel insurance). Cabins also come with a private balcony as standard. One customer told us: ‘You’re looked after from the moment you are picked up at your front door.’

Every one of its ocean cruises departs from the UK; meaning you can venture as far as Latin America, Canada and the Caribbean without taking a single flight.

Passengers also praised the stellar customer service (Saga promises one member of staff for every two guests), spacious ships, ‘superb’ choice of restaurants – with speciality options, from seafood to Nepalese – and friendly atmosphere. Excursions were rated highly, although some customers complained that trips included in the headline price were less varied than those that cost extra. Others said they would have preferred a more active holiday.

Should I book with Saga?

Saga is hard to fault. It offers an (almost) all-inclusive, high-end experience without the hefty price – outperforming rival Fred Olsen Cruises across the board.
