What’s Centauro like?

Low-cost independent Centauro, which operates mainly at ‘off airport’ locations in Spain, Italy, Portugal and Greece, scored reasonably well across the board. And in the current climate, its prices of £230 a week on average are a bargain (Alamo gets a slightly higher score but is almost double the price), especially as its fleet of cars received a full five-star rating for age, condition and mileage. 

However, its value for money score of three out of five stars shows cheap hire costs don't equate to good value, nor do they make up for hard sells or excessive queues.

One Centauro user commented: ‘The long wait on arrival and the unpleasant pressure to pay for additional insurance which we did not need made a poor start to our holiday.’ Another customer felt the company was ‘just trying to get more money’. Find out which car hire insurance you do need.

Should I book with Centauro?
