Aviva is one of the largest insurers in the UK. It has more than 15.5 million customers and is over 300 years old. 

It offers one travel insurance policy, which you can take out for year-round insurance or single trips. You can cover up to eight family members on one policy.

The latest data from the Financial Conduct Authority shows that Aviva paid out 75-80% of claims made on annual European policies in 2022 - aligned with the average of 76%.

It accepted 80%-85% of claims made on annual worldwide policies - in line with the average of 82%.

It paid 75%-80% of claims made on single trip policies - above the market average of 73%.
