The latest data from the Financial Conduct Authority shows that UK Insurance Limited – Direct Line's underwriter – accepted 90-95% of claims made on its annual worldwide policies in 2022. This was above the average acceptance rate of 82%.

It accepted 90-95% of claims made on single trip policies. This was higher than the average rate of 73%.
