Barclays' 'Travel Pack', an annual multi-trip policy, is available for £12.50 a month if you open a Barclays current account, with a six-month minimum term.

The latest data from the Financial Conduct Authority show that Aviva Insurance Ltd - who underwrite Barclays' policy - paid out 75-80% of claims made on annual European policies in 2022. This was in-line with the average of 76%.

Aviva paid out 80-85% of claims made on annual worldwide policies. This was aligned with the average of 82%.

It accepted 75-80% of claims made on single trip policies - above the average of 73%.

If you log into the Barclays app, it also has a 'Call-us' feature for claims.

Before calling for cancellation claims, you should contact your travel agent and/or airline to seek a refund or to move your trip.
