Staysure was formed in 2004, specialising in cover for over-50s with pre-existing medical conditions, though its policies are available to younger customers too.
We've reviewed three of its policies: Signature (most comprehensive), Comprehensive, and Basic (least comprehensive).

We've rated three levels of cover available from Staysure: Signature, Comprehensive and Basic.
With 80%, Signature was one of the top-scoring policies in our analysis. The average policy score was 64%.
If you've sunk significant amounts into your holiday plans, the Signature policy offers some of the highest levels of cancellation cover available – up to £15,000. In addition, there are no excesses for medical, cancellation or baggage claims.
The policy isn't as generous as some for unexpected events that could disrupt travel on a wide scale, with terrorism excluded.
The Signature policy is one of 11 (out of 161 policies reviewed) that doesn't place a cash limit on its medical expenses cover, though there is a £500 cap on what it will pay for dental emergency claims.
With slightly lower levels of cover in some areas (and excesses of £65 payable per person per claim), Comprehensive scored 72%, which is still in the top fifth of the 161 policies we reviewed.
Conversely, the Basic policy scored 52%, putting it in the bottom fifth of products we rated. As the low score implies, the policy has reduced cover levels, higher excesses and lacks some features (such as legal expenses cover) that the more expensive Staysure policies included.
